The Ordinary of New Kent and Bassett’s Tavern properties include The Ordinary (Main House), The Martin House, and The James Armistead Lafayette Cottage.
- In the Main House, The Ordinary offers five bedrooms, each with a private en suite bath and shower, two king-sized, two queen-sized, and dual twin bedrooms. The Ordinary has Bassetts Tavern on the first floor with an honor system bar and 8 sitting tables. Upstairs has a parlor and dining room along with two porches.
- The Martin House has a king-size bed, kitchen, sitting area, and dining table with a balcony. A view of the horses is a great place to enjoy an evening beverage or morning coffee.
- The James Armistead Lafayette Cottage is ideal for a family. It has two bathrooms on the first floor, a queen-sized bed, and a double-sized bed. Upstairs is one double-sized bed and two twins. The homes are all on the same property, only steps apart, with plenty of room to enjoy yard games or the quiet of the rural setting. It is perfect for golf outings, family gatherings, local wine tastings, and local weddings.
For an additional fee, guests may host a private event, rehearsal dinner, wedding, or family reunion.
